Todd and Wanda at the Diner for breakfast.

Well, we made it through the night with no tragedies. But, better safe than sorry. Slept great and my back was really good this morning! Wanda made us coffee and Todd suggested we go out for breakfast. Sounded great to me! Off we went to Gulf Shores and had a delicious and generous breakfast.

After breakfast, Todd toured the area for a few places I had been told about. He also pointed out the place where they are holding a Zydeco/Crawfish Fest tomorrow. Going out to meet our friend George there at noon.

Got back to the campsite about 12ish and promptly took a nap. Felt wonderful! Everything was secure after last night's storms, including Stinky Pete, my tent outhouse. Put out the few things I will use in the next couple of days.

Look what came on my adventure, Denise!

I decided to spend some time researching restaurants I want to go to in the next couple of days. I got ahold of George again and we are meeting at Acme Oyster House for dinner tonight. Will be going to Lulu's on Sunday - she is Jimmy Buffet's sister. The tomorrow is the Zydeco thingy. Man - things NEVER get boring.

The day continues! I met George for dinner at the Acme Oyster House. Can't say it was much different than the other places I have been but the food was good and the company was great.

On way home I stopped and bought some rum - $18.99 for a fifth - no matter the brand. Yikes. Makes no sense. Wine prices are much better here than up north but the hard stuff is nuts!

I went home only to discover someone stole my long extension cord! I am reallllllly angry. My go to guy here, Jonathan, loaned me a cord until I can get a new one - am seriously thinking of getting out of here. We'll see how I feel in the morning. The campground really filled up today - holiday weekend and all.

Well, that's it for today! Have a great night all! Sweet dreams!
