We are heralded all day by the Navy jets. I was able to grab a shot of a couple of Harrier jets through the hazy sky.

What a great day! Kinda surprising 'cause it poured all day. I was in the shower this morning when I heard it start. With a metal roof it sounded really serious but it wasn't. I went to put my dirty clothes in the laundry bag and to my horror - it was the garbage bag I threw away- OH NO! I threw my laundry away. The guy cleaning the bathrooms fetched it out of the bin for me. Whew! He said he has done the same thing.

He was the assistant camp host. Really nice fella from Vermont and a snowmobiler. I told him I knew his state association - VAST. Was he surprised! So we are in the ladies bathroom and he is cleaning and we are talking snowmobiling - in Florida. Too funny!

He did tell me where to find the laundromat and away I went. Even ran into our Camp Hosts there. And it poured ... and poured. On the way back to the campground I stopped for lunch at another old favorite - Wolf Bay Lodge. A good sized bowl of Seafood Gumbo and a glass of Chardonnay for $11.00. This will be revisited.

I was going to go straight to Cobalt to meet Todd and Wanda Wiese but my gut told me I better go back and see how the canopy was doing. It was perfect - totally dry. I was going to move the bed back into the van for the rain but there was no need to. Everything was dry. Whew!

These beauties were huge!

After I was reassured, I went to the Cobalt in Orange Beach for, you guessed it - oysters! It was so great to see Todd and Wanda. We swapped stories, said how much we loved this area and they told me about a couple of great places to go - one of which I am meeting Wanda at on Saturday.

They can't all be pretty days! This is looking at condos on Gulf Beach across from Big Lagoon,

I decided to drive around the park grounds when I got back. Funny how quickly a place can feel like home.

When I got back the canopy felt a little dampish so I fired up the heater. Dried everything up and will make for a comfy night.

And with those words, I am closing and going to watch some TV shows. Tomorrow I have to work on my other blog. It's supposed to rain so it's a good thing to do.

Sweet dreams and night all!
