For some reason I woke really early and that got me on the road by 7:30 a.m. I looked at the map and needed to make a correction for my departure route. But 30 minutes down the road it didn't feel right. Sure enough, wrong route. I made a quick correction and was headed to the Big Muddy.

I was so pleased how well and how little traffic there was. I don't think I will ever go the Route 65 direction again. So from 412 to 155 to 55 and then to 57 to cross the Mississippi again. The trucks n 57 were getting on my nerves so I cut of on 64 and got on 51. SO much better.
I looked at the great time I was making and decided that I would head to Rockford and forego Bloomington for the night. It also gave my an opportunity to see Bonnie and Greg, my brother and sister-in-law. As it turned out I was welcomed and had a great evening with them!
Sure enough, I was in Rockford by 7:00 p.m. They took me to dinner at Famous Dave's, my fav, and we came home and drank wine and played with the kitties. We talked about past travels and futures ones - it was delightful. Doug called and got in on the conversation!
So tomorrow should be a quick trip home. When I get home I will post a blog about some of my observations I had about my travels. But I will say one thing now. It was a totally memorable trip and I couldn't be happier I did it.
Thank you all for joining me. I hope some day you will have your own incredible adventure I can read about!
Night all! Sweet dreams!
