So tonight I am settled into my new and last campground for this trip. On the way home I plan to stay in motels. It's much less complicated. I actually hope to do the trip in two days, depending upon traffic and weather.

This morning I checked out of Magnolia Springs and did a little shopping for the week. I plan to eat most of my meals at the campsite trying to cut down costs. I called my friend Wanda and got to see their beautiful home in Foley. Man did they hit the jackpot on this one!

The palms are a recent new addition. How COOL!

Today's campground will be home for a week - Gulf Coast RV Park on the north side of Gulf Shores. I was fortunate to get a place this week for a very great rate - but ... it's not the greatest campground I ever stayed at. It actually isn't the worst either. There was that time I camped with June and we stayed at an RV park in New Orleans where there were prostitutes soliciting and and drug deals going down. I was terrified. I didn't sleep a wink.

This park has a lot of long term campers. I even met one that knew a friend of mine - I knew it had to happen on this trip! The good part of this place is the site is so small I have no room to set up my canopy so set up went really fast!

Grilled some jumbo Royal Reds for dinner then hightailed it into the van. The mosquitos are horrible here. I tried some flying insect spray but they still swarmed. There are no fire rings on the site nor any BBQs so can't create smoke to fend off the little beasties.

Tomorrow - the BEACH! That makes staying at this place worth every minute.I don't think I will be taking any pictures here - it's pretty dismal and I HIGHLY doubt there will be a return trip here.
